This authoritative series of articles represented the best introduction to the functioning of water electrolysis machines and the merits for our health. Part 1 discusses the Redox reaction, and the question of pH in the body, as well as the importance of balancing it. Part 2 Discusses Microwater theory, including how active oxygen (free radicals) occur within the body, the meaning of ORP as a measurement of the effectiveness of the alkaline water from a water ionizer. Part 3 discusses the workings of Water Ionizers, and makes the point that Redox Potential (ORP) is the relevant consideration, NOT pH, Part 4 Explains some more details of the workings of ionizers, and then goes on to develop Hayashi's water regulating theory, which fundamentally says that oxidation at the cellular level
causes disease, and reduction prevents it, or heals. You can still order back issues of the magazine from the publishers.

This paper that is circulating widely in the industry, seems to be a bootleg copy of a pamphlet published in English by The Water Institute, Tokyo, and authored by Hidemitsu Hayashi, M.D. of The Water Institute. It was in its time (early 90's) the standard introduction to “Water Ionizers,” but presently needs updating. |

This article documents the effect of supplementation with potassium bicarbonate in post menopausal women, coming to the conclusion that: In post menopausal women, the oral administration of potassium bicarbonate at a dose sufficient to neutralize endogenous acid improves calcium and phosphorous balance, reduces bone resorption, and increases the rate of bone formation. |
