Undersink Method:
Don't be intimidated! You don't need a plumber! This should only take you fifteen minutes and it is the best way to install your unit. |

1) This is what a typical water source pipe looks like underneathe your sink. Usually there are two of them, hot and cold. Find the one that supplies water to your main faucet and turn it off by turning the handle to the right.
| |
2) Follow the hose from the water source pipe. In the very middle, you'll see a hose connecting to the main faucet. The first step is to unscrew this hose (you may need a pair of pliers if it's tight).
| |
3) Screw in the undersink valve as shown. Be sure you place the "O" ring inbetween to avoid leaks.
| |
4) Connect the water supply hose to the valve.
| |
5) Next locate the above sink valve and the 1/4 inch tube (the skinny tube). Unscrew the cap at the end of the above sink valve and place it on the end of the 1/4 inch tube.
| |
6) Connect the 1/4 tube to the above sink valve by simply pushing the tube over the metal arm and screwing the cap back on.
| |
7) Cut the 1/4 inch tube to the length you need to connect the undersink valve to the above sink valve. Simply cut with a good, sharp knife.
| |
8) Attach above sink valve to area on wall that is convenient for you to access. Simply screw it in. This is your flow control valve and it will control the water to your KYK Harmony.
| |
9) Cut the 3/8 inch tube (the fatter one) to the length you need to connect to your KYK Harmony. Attach it to the other side of the above sink valve.
| |
10) Attach the knob to the center.
| |
11) Next, attach the other end of the 3/8inch tube to the input valve underneath the KYK Harmony as shown. The unput valve is on the right. The output valve is in the center of the unit.
| |
12) Optional step -- Drill a hole for the 1/4 inch tube to fit through so it can get from the above sink valve to the undersink valve. If there is already access between the top of your sink and underneathe it, you don't need to drill.
